Maharaja Trophy T20 2024
Preview:
The third season of Maharaja Trophy T20. organized by the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA), is scheduled to start with the league phase on August 15 as six teams will battle for the coveted title.
The T20 tournament will see the same six teams that competed in the previous two editions battle again across the next two weeks and a half at a single venue in M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Bengaluru Blasters will take on inaugural champions Gulbarga Mystics in the first fixture on the opening day of the third season, while Shivamogga Lions face last season’s runners up Mysore Warriors in the second fixture of the day. Defending champions Hubli Tigers open their title defence against Mangaluru Dragons on the second matchday, when Bengaluru Blasters battle Mysore Warriors as the league phase action continues till August 29 before the knockout stages begin on August 30. The six teams will face each other twice in double round-robin format in the league phase with the top four on the points table advancing to the Maharaja Trophy knockout round – semifinals and final.
